This morning the workers uncovered a huge hole in the back garden area.

It is a cistern to catch rain water that apparently was built about 100 years ago.

No one had a clue that it was there.
The iron cover on the top of it was probably
covered up in the late 1940’s or early 50’s.

The workers are continuing to break it open.

It’s a lot bigger than you’d think!

Now the job is to fill it in.
